This project started with sketching 50 illustrations with the theme "Dandelion" and choosing two to build a logo with. One of the sketches I liked was one I did of a Dandelion hit by a bullet.
The second sketch I chose was of the word "Irish Daisy" which is another name for Dandelion.
With the sketches above I first had to create a fictitious company or organization that would require a logo. My first idea was a punk band with a rebellious image.
I wanted to emphasize the rebellious nature of the band so I used both a blackletter font and a display font. I also decided for the "D" of Daisy to represent the bullet destroying the Dandelion.
This was my final design for a black and white version of the logo. Following the theme of rebellious, the text "Daisy" appears on top of the text "Irish" breaking traditional hierarchy.
These are three different variations of the logo featuring different design and color schemes. The first and third design feature polygons behind the letters to create a ransom style lettering. The second design features some splatter symbols and gradients to create a graffiti look.
