CheatSheet is an app for students who are tired of searching for homework help.
A core part of the 21st century student experience is learning about artificial intelligence and learning how to use it to help you with school. I sought to design an app that helps connect students to AI resources specifically focused on academics and homework. Through this venture, CheatSheet was born.
I conducted consumer interviews to learn what I might include with CheatSheet to make it stand out against competitors like Chegg or ChatGPT, and I found that students often consult multiple resources before settling on an answer to their academic questions: AI, online forums, and group chats. I thought to myself:
"Why not put them all in one place?"
So I did.
CheatSheet brings together all of the resources that students rely on for quick homework help: AI chatbots, online communities, and group chats. Users can choose to approach solving their problem in the way that's most comfortable and effective for them depending on their need and level of urgency.

Style Guide
The style guide stays true to the logo's color palette. I picked Madimi for my logotype and headers because of its unique and recognizable design, as well as its playful vibe. I chose Mada for body text because it complements Madimi nicely while being simpler and more legible, especially in larger bodies of text.
The three stages seen here show the progression from my source material to my final design. After recreating my inspiration in Illustrator, I realized that I needed so significantly simplify the design so that it could be scalable while maintaining a clear and unique look. After several rounds of revision, I landed with the final logo, seen on the right.
Initial Flow Map
The flow map is a simple layout for my app design, showing the many branches that could be created from the AI and community answer options. This was prior to the inclusion of the chat feature and before the development of the brand's identity.
Wireframe
This is the wireframe that served as the foundation for my app design. There were some edits made to the layout and buttons during the final design process, but the app mostly stayed true to this blueprint.
