En Morón Buenos Aires hay una hermosa plaza en honor al libertador San Martín donde los niños juegan, la gente puede pasear y divertirse a cualquier hora desde hace cientos de años.
En ella creció un hermoso árbol de la especie Ombú, tradicional en Argentina.
 Bajo este árbol durante doscientos años jugaron niños y niñas, se conocieron parejas y se reunieron amigos.
Pero en 2006 el municipio hizo reparaciones en la plaza; dijeron que hubo un error de cálculo y el árbol se dañó hasta el punto de que hubo que cortarlo.
Esto enfadó mucho a los habitantes de Morón, que presionaron al ayuntamiento para que intentara salvar al pobre árbol.
Al final no se pudo salvar, pero se plantó un retoño con la esperanza de que algún día vuelva a crecer grande y fuerte como un árbol.

In Morón Buenos Aires there is a beautiful square in honour of the liberator San Martín where children play, people can go for a walk and have fun at any time for hundreds of years.

In it grew a beautiful tree of the Ombú species, traditional in Argentina.

 Under this tree for two hundred years boys and girls played, couples met and friends got together.

But in 2006 the municipality made repairs to the square; they said that there was a mistake in the calculation and the tree was damaged to the point that it had to be cut down.

This made the inhabitants of Morón very angry and they put pressure on the municipality to try to save the poor tree.

In the end the tree could not be saved but a sprout was planted in the hope that one day it will grow back big and strong as a tree.
