Clay Figurine Project

Foam Clay Figure Project
This is the beginning of my project of constructing a figurine out of foam clay. To begin, I wanted to build a favorite childhood character of mine and a world favorite animal. I wanted to do Kirby but I knew I had to build or draw another character just in case I find failure. In these sketches, I made sure to draw the characters how I wanted and accordingly in order to get the outcome I wanted.
This is the second part of my project. After writing and sketching out the design in how I want my character to look, I begun shaping it out with playdoh in order to find out whether or not the character I wanted to do was even possible. I chose multiple colors in order to bring together what my character would look like, with this being the final result.
These photos here showcase the final piece. Firstly, going off of my prototype of playdoh, I built my figurine out of foam clay. Now onto the platform, I decided to use yellow and blue paper and then cutting out the blue paper into waves. When done, I decided to add texture in order to make sure the platform for my figurine was a beach. Secondly, I constructed a beach chair out of popsicle sticks. Lastly, I put everything together with the use of hot glue in order to put my project together. With all of the procedures and thought I put into my project, this is the outcome.
