FREE PARENTING SEMINAR: TEENS AND SEX

Two posters that encourage parents to attend a free seminar on how to effectively talk to their kids about sex in a way that isn't awkward, gross or preachy. Parents are more averse to talking about sex than their kids for three reasons:
1). Many parents were raised to think that sex is a "dirty" subject, inappropriate for open dialog with kids.
2). Parents underestimate what their kids already know, especially those in their early teens.
3). Some parents seem to think that as long as you don't talk about sex, their kids won't do it.

School isn't the only place your kids can go to learn about sex. There's always the locker room, slumber parties and, of course, the Internet. Talk to your kids at home before they talk to someone else.

COPY: No one ever said talking to your kids about sex would be easy, but treating it like a taboo subject will only make things worse. Have a short conversation with us and it might just lead to some real communication with your kids.
