This is Japanese Notan. It was fascinating to work between light and dark values to demonstrate contrast and increase my knowledge in the design principles. The thumbnail is meant to demonstrate a Spider on a tree branch. The final was made out of cardstock pasted on Bristol board and the contrast was turned for it to appear as a professional work.
