Submission for the contest World Illustration Awards - Book Cover
Initially, this drawing was made for fun only as a practice for the etching technique, but later on, it grew into a bigger illustration. I decided to adapt the final piece to a cover for the book, skullcrack City, by Jeremy Robert Johnson, wich portrays the bad world of substance abuse, experimental surgeons, drug mutants and celebs.

This is the comparison between the original and the edited. I rotated the drawing when I started doing it because it wasn’t centered. Then, I added a white and black gradient, making some homogenous and less detailed spaces to insert the title and the autor, but also to enhance some skull features.
