I had so much fun illustrating the adventures of Madelief and her friends, the first children's series by Guus Kuijer, winner of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

Madelief is funny, curious, overwhelming. She often loses her patience, doesn't mince words, defends little ones from bullies, and is almost never afraid of anything.

The covers well tell the spirit of the series and its main ingredients: friendship, adventure, irony.
