We were tasked with creating three posters that could be displayed together to promote a fictional exhibition of a chosen graphic designer.
I chose Dana Tanamachi, and imagined what she might create if she were to design her own poster for an exhibition of her work. I chose 'From Heart, By Hand' as the name of the exhibition, as I think this represents Dana's process well.
I chose to illustrate elements that represented her multicultural heritage, including elements representing Texas (blue jays, blue bonnets, Mexico (dahlia), and plum blossoms (Japan).
