ART 235 Project 3: Public Service Announcement 

The main purpose of this project is to create a series of three, professional quality, print ad posters that could be used in a Public Service Announcement (PSA) print campaign. These posters will promote an important issue or topic that affects individuals and communities.

Your print ad poster must be 11 inches x 17 inches (portrait orientation).

Choose one issue you think is the most interesting and important; this topic should enable you to create your strongest visual experiments.

This is a campaign or series of three. Each poster should be distinct from the other, yet similar enough to be an obvious set when side by side.

Include the Ad Council Vector Logo

Posters must have a headline, tagline and/or secondary headline, logo, and URL as part of a call to action.

Use approved fonts unless a strategic design decision can justify something else.

The Ad Council is an American nonprofit organization that produces, distributes, and promotes public service announcements on behalf of various sponsors, including nonprofit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and agencies of the US government.

The Ad Council partners with advertising agencies that work pro bono to create public service advertisements on behalf of campaigns. The organization accepts requests from sponsor institutions for advertising campaigns that focus on particular social issues. To qualify, an issue must be non-partisan (though not necessarily unbiased) and have national relevance.

Red Zone Industries

In 1902, Red Zone Industries was established. Its objective is to give individuals in need access to inexpensive medical treatment. Along with providing fundamental medical knowledge, it also aims to educate the public on how to avoid illness and harm.
