The aim of the Minimalist Editorial Image Project is to create a captivating image that sparks conversations about a chosen article. I crafted a paper collage playing with light and shadow, carefully cutting and layering paper to create the composition. Using lighting, I enhanced depth, and then in Photoshop, I touched up the image to refine details and ensure it captivates viewers.

The chosen article was from the New York Times called Bullfighting in the Arena and Battling Outside of It. To summarize, the article covers the debate surrounding bullfighting in Mexico City, particularly focusing on its ban and subsequent revival at La Plaza México. Despite being prohibited in 2022 due to legal challenges, the Mexican Supreme Court overturned the ban in January, reigniting discussions about its cultural and economic importance. The reinstatement of bullfighting in late January led to protests outside the arena, contrasting with the enthusiasm of fans inside.
