City Garden is a very high density dwelling complex up to 6 stories high. The complex consists of 50-100 square meter two stories flats, each having their own front garden. Each 4-6 flats create a “garden bubble” to add light and air by having wider openings in the carpet like ground plan. The rout through the complex to each flat is by vain like routs from the main travel rout, going through the gardens. Reaching the flats on the upper storied is done with elevators and stairs elements in each garden bubble.
The building is made of double skin of glass inner skin and complex and dynamic wood panels that provide privacy, shade and transform into outside sitting area. The panels were 3D modeled by Grasshopper plug in for Rhino.
