I created this series of illustrations under the general impression of congratulating women on 8 March, the day of the struggle for women's rights. In my post-Soviet country, this important day has been turned into a day of "spring and beauty" and every time they give women flowers, say that they are the jewellery of the team,
wish them more smiles and "feminine" happiness. Officials wish women pregnancy, whether she wants it or not. Nothing about equal rights. No laws criminalising domestic violence, no equal pay. All other days women are treated as inferior, incapable of doing anything, but on this day everyone smiles and gives them flowers.
