Product Design Sketching September to March
Over the Semester one the tasks given entailed choosing from a selection of four products and to create new concepts for materials used, features, users or context for use.
Instagram and Pinterest provided a strong background knowledge of communicating concepts through sketching. They portrayed the importance of being able to jot down ideas fast and efficiently as a form of communication to assist an explanation.
Through being mindful of line weight help produce a three dimensional form, this was assisted with fine liners and makers. The importance of page layout was acknowledged through trial and error. By trying establish what made the drawings come together on the page while also having their own space. This was assisted by background planes, colour and arrows.
For semester two in collaboration with each assessment assigned, A collection of concept generation and development sketches would be submitted.
Development going forward includes clarity of annotations by using block lettering going from left to right in a straight line. This will hopefully leave minimal confusion and will also improve concept generations when reanalysing sketches.
