April Grieman:no pencil needed (movie poster)

Designer movie
Poster
This poster was made in inspiration of the designer April Greiman, and I wondered if she had her own movie how would the movie poster look.
I made different variations of the logo I created for Greiman. You can see how I ended up using Greiman's last name rather than her entire name as I did on the final. I decided to change the logo because her full name was too busy, I wanted it to be simple to contrast with the busyness of the full poster.
The color palette that was used was a very pop art inspired palette much like most of Greiman's work. I wanted to embrace her pop art style as well make my poster catch someone's eye, so I used very bright colors.
April Greiman was an American designer and one of the first designers to embrace computer technology to help create art. I used some of Greiman's techniques to mimic her art style to make a movie poster that looks as though she would have created it herself these are examples of her work that I used to guide my way through this project to keep Greiman's style the same.
I used Greiman's style of cut and paste look on her works and used them on some of the text throughout the poster.
On my draft you can see different assets that I decided to cut from the final project like the title of the film "no pencil needed being all in letters made from the wire of the computer, but I decided to take some of it out and add different mediums. I used my cut-out letter idea from my sketches and added it t the name as well as some of the same pixelated effect as I used on the newspaper. for the background I used a magazine page and brought the opacity down so it would not affect how any of the other assets looked.
