The client's theme for the wedding was to be black, red and gold. A requirement was that the invitation was to include gold to some form. She had mentioned that her wedding dress is a champagne/off-white colour, therefore thought it would be unique for the paper to include a very subtle metallic sheen to it to match the dress (very difficult to capture this sheen in a photo!).

We had also decided that a more traditional and classic style for the invites would be appropriate, as well as incorporating a contemporary twist - i.e. using a less traditional paper, black envelopes, floral designs.

The floral flourishes were both made by myself on Illustrator  as well as using a Photoshop brush pack which can be found here http://www.freebrusharchive.com/free-floral-swirl-brushes-photoshop/
I had also incorporated a bit of branding into the design of the invitations and RSVPs by making a logo out of the first initials of the bride and groom. I thought it would add a personal and one-of-a-kind touch the the theme. I used the typeface 'Chopin Script' as it had traditional and 'wedding-like' features on the chacters, especially the J and N which compliment each other well enough to be interlinked with each other.
Client's main requirement was for the invitation to feature an eye-catching red rose, which is said to be one of the themes for her wedding.
