Engaged by Berlinn, a prominent Scottish publisher, I was commissioned to create a collection of ink illustrations for the graphic novel 'Blood and Gold,' authored by Mara Menzies, a seasoned storyteller adept at blending African and Scottish folklores. The thematic essence of the book skews towards a darker tone, catering to a readership ranging from young adults to adults, making it a compelling fairytale.
In totality, the artistic endeavor encompassed the creation of 30 illustrations, comprising the book cover and an additional 29 interior drawings, meticulously executed with Indian ink on paper.
