Assignment directions: Students will create a video to raise awareness, acceptance and action on the Global Problem chosen for this term.
The steps included: Plan, outline, collect B-roll, write a script, practice, film, edit, and insert B-roll.
Assignment for class: Global Activism and Social Change Communication.
Assignment directions: Describe the ecosystem of social media and its influence. Promote your cause and explain why it is relevant for your INGO to advocate for the cause.
Assignment: Sequences and Storytelling.
Assignment directions: Use your smartphone or video recorder of choice and shoot a person or activity requiring multiple, sequential steps.  
Assignment: Interview and Edit.
Assignment directions: You will shoot and edit an interview, cutting it down to a 1:30-2-minute interview with soundbites edited together using cuts only. 
Assignment for class: Video Storytelling.
Assignment directions: The work may be informational, journalistic and should have an issue at its heart (no light features).  You may also produce a public relations-style campaign video suitable for social media and focuses around a current, relevant issue.
