DIN typography booklet

Project Reflection: For this project, I chose DIN as the typeface to build my booklet around. While going through the options it was the one that stood out to me most. I liked its clean, minimal, and very legible look. My design style tends to lean more simple and modern which I felt this typeface aligned with. My end goal for this project was to produce a booklet that looked professional and highlighted DIN as a typeface. I used simple layouts and a minimal color palate to help the viewer clearly see the text. This was important to me because DIN is a typeface used in transportation and because of that it should be clear and legible to ensure safety within the German transportation system. Even with this in mind, I had a slow start to this project. I struggled to come up with ideas that were new and fresh and found myself doing variation after variation that looked identical to the last. Eventually, I created a front cover that I enjoyed and after that, I got into a much more productive workflow and began creating spreads I was happy with.
