Here is another portrait I did. Depression hit's very close to me since I've been battling with it most of my life. And can even be humiliating or embarassing to talk about to your closest family and friends.

 

 

Depression sucks.  It leads to horrible decisions, ruined jobs/relationships and emotional roller coasters. One of the horrible things is that it can take years to finally reach some type of happiness, and all it can take is a single moment or person to ruin everything you’ve tried so hard to fix about yourself, the worst is when it comes from the people in your life you care about and know about your depression.

 

If you run into someone with depression please don't tell them to "Get over it" or "It could be worse". Try to help others out with compassion and understanding. The ones that make others laugh and smile the most are sometimes the ones that are in deep depression since they have no happiness of their own the best they can do is bring it out in others to hide the pain.
