This is Abel. He likes to go on exciting expeditions around the house with his favourite soft toy, Mr Grizzly. Whenever it rains, he tears up because he's convinced that "the clouds must be really sad".

This is Beatrice. She's a cancer survivor. She lives in a little wooden cottage with a backyard full of sunflowers. Each waking day is a gift to her.

This is Chris. He lives by a fjord in Norway. He replies letter to children on behalf of Santa Claus. On his off days, he enjoys whale-watching out at sea.

This is David. He's a rescued dog who thinks that he is a reincarnate of Hachiko. Despite having a warm and loving foster home, he makes his way to the train station every morning and waits till sundown before heading back home.

This is Emma. She's a self-taught experimental baker. She lives with her overly attached cat, Elliot, who is always the first (fortunately or unfortunately, hm) to sample her novel bakes.

This is Genevieve. She draws portraits of strangers for free. Her favourite part of these little sessions is when she hands the completed portraits over to her patrons. Mostly, their expressions change from amusement to hearty laughter, and then finally, a quiet contented smile.

This is Helena. She is the chief librarian of the children's section. Every Sunday, she holds "Grandmother story" sessions for the library-goers, young and old alike.
