This portrait of the late, great Pebble the cat was a project that was guided by the restraints of having just a black and a white pen with no gradients or greyscale tools.  

Digital painting and illustration is burdened with an abundance of choice. Every conceivable tool at any size with the ability to retry any stroke that wasn't deemed "perfect" by the user at any time.

It's an incredible tool in that it eliminates the constraint and risk of physical mediums, so it can feel overwhelming when your toolset is limitless. As an artist that feels more comfortable with the limitations of physical mediums, I find it easier to dive in to a project in Adobe Fresco with self-imposed limitations.
