Australia will keep an eye on Khawaja following his jaw injury in Adelaide

Usman Khawaja, the opener for Australia against the West Indies, is questionable for the second test due to a knock to his jaw suffered on Friday during the series opener in Adelaide.
Australia won by 10 wickets in just seven sessions, however Khawaja had to be replaced due to damage sustained from a short delivery from Shamar Joseph that struck his helmet.
Before rising off the ground, the 37-year-old spat blood and felt his jaw.
Despite passing the initial concussion test, he was sent for scans and would get another evaluation on Saturday.
Pat Cummins, the Australian captain, stated, “He seemed okay, just a little sore jaw.”
“Hopefully he’s alright, nobody wants to watch a guy get hurt while playing this amazing game.”
If Khawaja is unable to play, Matthew Renshaw is most likely to take his place in Brisbane.
Australia selected a fresh opening duo when David Warner retired, with Steve Smith rising from number four to bat alongside Khawaja at the top of the order.
