'The Big Six'
This sculpture was the second one I have created. Making this sculpture was done by the usage of extruding coils (clay) and using them on the wheel known as the 'Coiling Method'. Doing this I was able to create circles of all different sizes and abnormalities.
The colouring that we see is created by using slips and underglaze powders which after a bisque firing I then added a transparent glaze which allowed the colours to really pop and showcase themselves. I even used monoprinting techniques with the usage of newspaper and slips drawing over the newspaper to add in more patterns.
