Genius In Nature: Beaver Team Building School

This is my Y2S1 Studio "Genius In Nature" Project, Beaver Team Building School. The school's architecture is based on the beaver's unique way of interlocking wood.

Below is the form i derived from analyzing the beaver's interlocking of wood.

I extracted out a pattern that is used in the creation of Dams and Lodges, and played around with it to create this module. I made a "Dam" that was less focused on using mud as a 'glue' and  more on the interlocking of wood.
Chosen site location is at Serangoon East Coast Dam. The installation of the school will be on top of the dam.
ACTIVITIES:B1
Trash Collection:
The groups of people will go around the edges of the dam to collect trash, collecting and bringing them to the basement for sorting. After the trash is sorted, the garbage truck enters to the lower floor, collecting the trash and bringing it out for recycling.
ACTIVITIES:
Aquatic Plant Farming:
The groups of people can learn how to plant and farm aquatic plants, more specifically Cattails and Clovers. The cleaned Cattails and Clovers will then be brought upstairs for cooking.
ACTIVITIES:
Aquatic Plant Cooking:
Sections:
The sections show the difference in water levels and how the "above water" and "below water" spaces.  Below water spaces is where the activities are held, similarly to how beaver does its building and work underwater most of the time. The aquatic farming is also on the "below water" floor, as the beavers store their "food" below water.
The "above water" spaces are where people relax and eat, focusing more on creating bonds with one another. Similarly in the beaver's lodge, the beavers stay in their above water space where they eat and huddle together with their families. They also allow muskrats to stay with them during the winter, sharing their collected food as well.
