I came up with this project because my Professor needed me to create a calculator that would be able to take multiple students' grades for quizzes and assessment and be given an average and a letter grade, and based on the weights the user could input calculate a weighted and unweighted average. He then wanted me to be able to calculate the weighted and unweighted grade average for the entire class of students. To create the code for the calculator, I used Python under the website OnlineGDB. One challenge I faced when working on this project was keeping track of all of the different variables in my coding and figuring out how to use input, while loops, and if/elif/else statements. That was a major part of the project and I found that in my original code I was missing a lot of the steps that I needed to complete the code because I didn't fully understand the process. After collaborating with my Professor, I was able to succeed in creating the calculator once he helped me through understanding each of the components of my code. I set out to create a grade calculator and I did achieve it, I think in the future I would expand on the number of assignments it could take and have it be able to also calculate grades for projects and finals and have those grades be included in the final calculations.
