The prompt of this project was to create an invitation to an event of my choice only utilizing a maximum of two color and three typefaces. I chose to create an invitation for a surprise birthday party for my mother. I figured that the surprise them would allow me to be creative with the fonts and colors since we were not allowed to use illustrations. I then chose two fonts that I thought would work well together, and used to script typeface as my main focal point on the page. The use of some simple lines allowed me to separate the information in a way that looks clean and simple. I also decided to use colors of a coldish-yellow and black because I felt these fit the target audience well, since the people receiving this invitation would primarily be my mother's friends. Lastly, I chose to put the RSVP information at the very bottom of the page in italics to add contrast and guide the viewers eye down the page.
