My fictional company I made for this assignment is called MAA, which is also named after my own initials. The company I created is a publishing firm for writers to edit and publish their own works. The goal of the company is to bring in new authors to share their writing to the public. As long as the work is public-friendly and the person is respectful, they are welcome to join the company to help promote and produce. I wrote a little letter as an example of someone who would be accepted into the company. The company has been up and running for a few years and hasn’t had any previous branding. The brand is hopeful that it can keep a consistent amount of consumers paying attention to them and their employees.

For the design, I wanted to keep things simple with a black and white pattern. I didn’t want it to be complicated since it would be too crowded. When I looked up publishing firms, they are mostly black and white anyways so it just stayed that way. I wanted to do a book as a design in the beginning, but I thought my initials would work better in the long run. The ‘M’ and ‘A’ colored black beside the ‘A’ in the middle are supposed to create a 3D effect. The black ‘M’ and ‘A’ are supposed to wrap around the middle ‘A’. The hexagon on top was added because I felt like there was an empty space that needed to be filled. The stationary system was also very simple since I just put black triangles in the corner. I didn’t want to overload the stationary system with designs and thought the corners were more pleasing to see. The logo in the background of the letterhead is there because I still wanted to incorporate the logo in a large way without distracting it from the text.
