Contextual Attack Animation

When starting this animation I of course had a couple fundamental values in my mind. Exaggeration, Anticipation and Iconography. Two values of animation and the other is for the character being portrayed of Spider-Man.

I knew starting out that the anticipation was going to be from a freeze frame. That would blend into the iconography, a powerful pose is struck so you can see the strength of Spider-Man. As the object is reeled in we see the character look back at his fist for a controlled punch to be landed on the object, hurling it back at his foes.

This animation took around two hours to create as this was my first time. I keyframed the end point of each pose and fine tuned the transition by playing the animation over so I could see what needed tweaking.

The web line was something I had to do some research on as I wanted a bend in the web and of course, it needs to spawn from his wrist. After researching for about ten minutes I had a fairly good idea of what I was doing.

This is the final product.

Below I have provided some images of my development log.
