Spring 2012 - "Kickback Adirondack" DABA Exhibit
Title: "Follow the Yellow Brick Road"
Medium: Acrylics & Clear Semi-gloss Rustoleum
The Downtown Auburn Business Association (DABA) has been doing a summer art exhibit for about seven years (I believe). For the 2012 exhibit DABA featured Adirondack chairs painted by local artists. I decided to paint a Wizard of Oz inspired scene, depicting iconic images from the movie including the Emerald City, Poppies, Ruby Slippers, Tinman's Heart, Cowardly Lion's Courage, Scarecrow's Diploma, and of course the Yellow Brick Road.

Special thanks goes to local carpenter, Pat Payton of Dink’s Woodshop in Auburn for building the 20 Adirondack Chairs that were on display in 2012.
