Ryan June's Character Icon Project!
These characters belong to the Super Mario Bros. franchise, and are owned exclusively by Nintendo. I do not hold the rights to any of these characters.
Icon Project Design Board: A multistep project where I picked a theme with 10 different representative icons using the iconic Super Mario Bros. Series. The Objective was to practice my ability to translate drawings into digital artwork.
Concept Stage: Initial concept drawings of icons based on research of my theme. I doubled the amount I would actually need to give myself options for the final 10 icons.
Black and White Stage: Vector jpegs of my final models for the icons in black and white for color testing. I also had to test the models on my final design board before making the colored versions so I knew how to space them evenlly.
Color Stage: The final colored in icons. I had to be sure every space with a shape was an actual vector shape and not just an empty hole from the black and white transition.
