This is an Abstract Expressive Type project where I designed only using type to express five theme I chose for each design. The first theme was what it felt like to stand for a long time. The second was my favorite word "Shambolic." The third theme was about how I felt when I was sick at the time. The fourth theme was about consumerism, which was a topic that piqued my interest at the time. The fifth theme was cookies because I like them and I thought it would be fun to do something a little less serious.
In the beginning stages of this project, I had to figure out how would the themes be reflected in the design. Before these legible sketches, I mind maps and a list of adjectives and verbs that corresponded with the themes.
During this phase, I took my legible sketches and inked them to get with microns to see what it would look like finalized before digitalizing them. My obstacle in this stage was figuring out how would I make the Q visible if it was going to be white.
