VISUAL IDENTITY - MUSEUM RADYA PUSTAKA - 2023


RADYA PUSTAKA SURAKARTA :
Radya Pustaka Museum is the oldest museum in Indonesia. Radya Pustaka Museum is located on Jalan Slamet Riyadi Surakarta. This museum is a building that is proof of the importance of archiving for the people of Solo.

This place was once a place to store royal letters. As time went by, 
this place not only stored letters but also became a storage place for royal objects and the collection
often increased, this place also became a museum.

Vision and Mission :
-Become a tourist and educational destination competitive culture international.
1. Growing public interest invisit the museum.
2. Make the museum a place research and sources of information for all people.
3. Carrying out cultural activities as a form of promotion and preservation culture.
4. Realizing museum governance good according to international standards.

Radya Pustaka Museum is the oldest museum in Indonesia. In 2018 Radya Pustaka experienced a decline in its attractiveness due to the changing times while Radya Pustaka did not promote optimally. This can also be influenced by the visual identity of the Radya Library museum which is not in accordance with the museum, starting from the logo to the existing visual elements.

Visual Color Philosophy
-
The colors chosen and then applied are colors that lean towards Javanese culture and are taken from several museum collections.

Gangsa, which means copper, is taken from the gamelan collection in the museum.
Godong means leaf. means life and fertility in Javanese Sanskrit. Therefore, the color of Godong was chosen so that the museum could continue to be preserved.
Kelabu, or what could be called ash gray, is a color chosen based on the Legam which means mystical.
Canthik, a bright red color that was taken and represents one of the collections and icons in the museum, namely the rajamala (ship's head).​​​​​​​

About Visual Elements.
The visual elements designed are some of the patterns of ancient money included in the museum's collection. To make it more modern, the visual was modified using halftones so that it remains visible and produces a light look.
