Clinic managers at The Joint Chiropractic locations across the country use Blue Books daily. These are their manager books, where they record the daily progress of their clinics, scheduled appointments, and anything else that might be pertinent for the next Wellness Coordinator to know. These books are sold by the corporate office, and every franchise buys them quarterly.
The Task
I was tasked by a couple of franchises local to Indianapolis to create a version of the Blue Book that better suited their daily needs. This included recreating existing sections, getting rid of some parts of the existing book, and adding entirely new sections. This was done entirely in InDesign, with the idea keeping in mind that it would be spiral bound.
The Design
Using a two-page spread with covers, the design was built using tables.
The design includes 5 main pages:
- the monthly action plan
- the main day pay
- the daily notes page
- the daily doctor call log
- the quarterly check in page.
These are what the client requested be included based on what the use the most and on what they want to achieve at each location long term.
