In my role at Jix Hobbies, I had the fantastic opportunity to conceive and execute a comprehensive campaign for an upcoming event: Board Game Day, with a focus on tile placement games. The challenge was to create visuals that not only captured the essence of these games but also conveyed the excitement and diversity of the event.
Drawing inspiration from the intricate tiles featured in various tile placement games, I embarked on a design journey to craft visually appealing, yet minimalistic, vector tiles. These tiles were carefully designed to mirror the look and feel of renowned tile placement games, seamlessly forming a cohesive visual narrative.
The heart of the campaign was a series of social media visuals, spanning multiple platforms. These visuals elegantly showcased the fusion of different tile shapes, forming the backdrop for the key message: "Board Game Day." The choice of gradients and noise added depth to the otherwise flat surfaces, enhancing the visual appeal and simulating the tactile feel of real tiles being laid out.
Beyond the digital realm, the campaign extended to printed materials and website banners. These adaptations ensured a consistent brand identity, captivating potential attendees and inviting them to experience the engaging world of tile placement games.
