So happy to share a personal illustration I did based on a dream I’ve had. The dream was highly detailed and combined my childhood home in Siberia with my home in Israel but did not resemble either. It gave me notes of impressionism, nostalgia, community, and liveliness.
The dream world is a big inspiration of mine and I have a designated notebook near my bed where I write the dreams that I can remember. Fun fact - David Bowie took inspiration from dreams and used to sleep with his elbows above his head because he believed that dreams come to you more in that position. On the same day, I took a piece of paper, drew a rough sketch, scanned it, and colored it digitally. I decided to mask my longing for a different time and place with happy and optimistic colors.
