Reduction Multicolor woodcut -Reduction woodcut is a method of block printing in which each color layer is carved into the same wood block. Part of the design is carved into the block and printed. The process is then repeated for each layer of color. The design is often printed working from the lightest first to darkest colors last.

Linocut also called linoleum cut, type of print made from a sheet of linoleum into which a design has been cut in relief. This process of printmaking is similar to woodcut, but, since linoleum lacks a grain, linocuts can yield a greater variety of effects than woodcuts can.
