Santu Pedru is one of the oldest district of the city of Nuoro, the city where I was born and lived until I was 18. Santu Predu was the ancient quarter of the shepherds, and it still holds the character and the history of the city among its tight alleys and its houses. In one of this house, the 1926 Nobel Prize for Literature Grazia Deledda was born and grew up.
