St. Luke's UCC 100th Anniversary Leaflet
St. Luke's United Church of Christ needed a leaflet for their 100th anniversary promotion. The leaflet was handed out at church services, but was also used as an insert.
The design of the leaflet was to be simple with the main focus being a description of the church and a schedule of events. The leaflet was to be printed on both sides. I chose a glossy stock with a matte back on it. To stay within the budget, the back was printed black and white.
For the background, I used a light-brown marble texture and blended it with an image of the stained glass window from the church's sanctuary. I was given a drawing of a dove with a banner/ribbon in it's mouth to use as a logo. I enhanced the image a little in Photoshop and used it at the top of the front.
The final piece was simple but elegant and provided the image the church wanted. Thousands were printed and distributed. This leaflet helped draw people to the 100th anniversary events, which raised enough money to purchase the new pipe organ that is now being used at the church.
