Before jumping to conclusions, remember that nothing is ever by chance. The two paintings in the middle are not just pictures taken by the side, but they are meant to oppose to each other. Imagine you in a room, four walls, and these two middle paintings are on opposite walls. Why? Well, it seems pretty obvious: in one there is a mother with his kid, the sun is shining and the waves are crushing on the shore. In the other one, there is a guy, his face speaks for himself, there is no sun and the water is calm. There are two different meanings that violently fight through colors.
What about the other two artworks? Exactly the same thing! The very first one gives us low frequencies, everything is where it is supposed to. However, in the last situation, all those dots merge together to give rise to a crowded place, with much intense colors and less peace.
All of this to show you that one thing, in this case the sea, can be seen in a hundred different perspectives, letting us drown in our feelings.
