Designed with G.M.Syntex (in Feb 2019) -

Design brief - To create a design collection for upholstery fabric with techniques using embroidery & appliqué for higher class uk based customers.

The design inspiration I took from Africa, I haven't been visited Africa but I feels so connected with their culture, clothing, traditional art, colours & jewellery. This project is so close to my hearts as this was the first ever design I created in G.M.SYNTEX. The product out come something unique with Appliqué work and embroidery. Kindly enjoy the process of this design.

 

Inspiration ideas : -  

Brainstorming and hand drawings on paper, explored motifs and intricate detailing and layout.

Colouring and repeat layout in photoshop software for embroidery. it's a main design so I have kept this multi coloured and playful with African story.

Embroidery stitches design on fabric for sample. 

Detailed motifs with embroidery stitches.

Explored motifs and layout, chose three different motif from main design to create co - ordinate design of the main design and play with motifs in photoshop to get all over deign without a patta.

The final out come of the design I created for upholstery-fabric, bought by UK based company ZINC ( The Romo Group). And they made a cushion cover collection out of I designed fabric.
