"Chennai Through the Eyes of Madras" is a Photo Zine which was the result of a storytelling workshop held at my workplace. We embarked on a city trail to celebrate Madras Day, which commemorates the foundation of the city when the East India Company purchased the land from Vijayanagar Empire. Madras, was officially rechristened as Chennai on 17 July 1996. The year 2020 marked the 383rd anniversary of the foundation of the city. The Photo Zine captures the old and new architecture, the people and subtleties which makes Chennai the city of nostalgia.
