CLIENT and student WORK / DESIGN RATIONALE
The Bound series consists of research reports written by RMIT Master of Writing and Publishing students that examine contemporary issues and trends in the Australian publishing industry. The series cover designs highlight the task of incorporating the essential concepts of each volume, influencing a balancing play between colour and typography. The clean typography of the masthead and subtitle, in contrast with the voluminous typographic style of the key themes, helps provide the viewer with a glimpse of what they will discover within each volume and conveys the students' fresh take on the topics discussed in the series.
