Signage & Wayfinding Project

Signage & Wayfinding Project
For my 3D graphic design class I had to design signage & wayfinding for a park. My project consisted of five sign designs such as gateway, storytelling, directional, map & location. The signs present a fun half-and full-circle shape, something different from what you would normally see when it comes to sign designs at the park. The signs also have a nice brighter vibrant color to attract people and kids to walk at the park, enjoying the outdoors. The purpose of designing a half and full-circle shape for the signage design was to create something different and have a more fun shape as well. Normally many park signs have a rectangular square shape to them. I wanted to design more playful signage & wayfinding. I also wanted the colors to pop more and be fun and playful, compared to a boring brown color that blends in the woods around the park. That way you can see the signs around the park and it doesn’t blend in with the trees or anything. The orange catches your eye and helps you know where you are as well as what direction you're going in.
