I orchestrate my paintings. Human forms in motion animate the paintings from a static, two-dimensional surface into an experience full of life. Color, light, and paint possess mysterious powers that I use to express what I see in our world. I manipulate materials to address a moment in time or relationships: celebrations, everyday events, and gatherings. In translating collective experiences onto canvas, the viewers become the subjects and enter into the creative process.
