US Nebraska Currency Design

US Nebraska Currency Project
This is the final design for the Nebraska Currency. I made revisions to the size and color of the typography for legibility. I also changed the yellow overlay of on the "Stone Henge" from a corn pattern to a state seal to keep the design consistent. Each of the final designs has a common theme that illustrates key aspects of the state of Nebraska.
The currency contains original artwork and patterns made from the state seal. I highlighted to landmarks in Nebraska "The Archway" and "The Carhenge". For colors I chose the state colors of blue and yellow. Nebraska is known as the "Cornhusk State" so I really wanted to incorporate that in my design as a background. I made revisions to my original design and made the image the focal point and I revised the bills to have a better composition. I made small changes to the bill such as scaling down the numbers and rearranging them to maintain consistency in design.
For this project I created a new state specific US currency for the state of Nebraska. I had to create a twenty dollar bill and five dollar bill. Each thumbnail sketch of potential bills has recognizable details and landmarks found in Nebraska. It was important to capture some of the identifying elements of Nebraska such as state birds, the state seal, and landmarks. These thumbnails ideas were sketched to highlight the greatness of nebraska.
