THE TRUE STORY OF THE INCIDENT IN THE GARDEN

“Taste this,” she said.
“Delicious,” he said, a trickle of juice escaping from the corner of his overstuffed mouth. She laughed and wiped his chin with her thumb. They each took another bite.
“Lots of seeds though,” she said. He nodded and spat a sticky heap of them into the palm of his hand.
“I suppose,” he said shrugging, “We have to take the good with the bad,” and he flung the pips carelessly into the bushes.
ADAM AND EVE are on the cusp of downfall. This fateful juncture is not manifested in an epic act of disobedience or rebellion, but rather a mundane moment - a domestic, everyday event - in which small careless actions broadcast ripples of consequence. It is an origin story, moving from the very small to the very large. The Microscopic to the Cosmic.
The “SEEDS” are captured here in mid-air - freshly flung. Destined to land… where? In the fertile soil? On the heavily trodden path? Or perhaps amongst the rocks? And then, to become what? A fruit bearing plant or a weed? A blessing or a curse?
