Hot Chicks Available is a series of photomontages bearing the essence of publicity posters, arranged in a vertical narration. With a wicked sense of humor, the artwork seeks to peel off the façade of Duxton Hill. The area is often associated with prestige and cultural diversity. However, the underground red light district thriving in Duxton Hill is often overlooked. Therefore, through a range of typographical images found in the area, the artwork seeks to highlight the situation in a satire manner. Initially intended as a series portraying the vices of Duxton Hill (trash, prostitution, gangs from Chinese clans and addiction of alcohol or tobacco). However, this has been narrowed down and twisted as promotional materials for prostitution.

1. Hot Experts
Using a series of images obtained from trash found in the area, this first piece aims to highlight the beauty of typography found even on ‘trash' and sells the ladies as professionals who are so highly experienced that one may need to be cheekily cautious.
2. Chicken
The dominating Chinese character (鸡) in the middle means, “chicken”, which is a slang term used to describe those in the prostitution line. The images found are those relating or hinting possible business as they are, after all, prohibited from open publicity. This piece seeks to welcome the customers into their business and contains a subtle tease of numbers and connotations.
3. Service
As stated, the Chinese character (服务) stands for “services” that the related organization would be providing. There are also, however, understated warnings of underage activities to be prohibited in their industry. Nonetheless, it is still a promised ‘feast’ (宴) of ‘happiness’ (喜喜) for the customers.
4. Fortune (Satisfaction)
The repeated Chinese character (福) stands for both fortune and satisfaction. The poster seeks to sell the message of guaranteed satisfaction from their services. Original images obtained here are snapshots of Chinese clans found in the region. Space is explored through the 2D surface by variation of tones and scales.
