This page is the presentation of my Brand project for Elon University's CDE3580 (Design of Visual Images) class. For this project, we were required to create a hypothetical festival or event in some global location. The profits from this event would benefit a social cause.

My event was inspired by my time working in Tel Aviv, Israel in the Summer of 2022. While in Israel, I traveled to multiple regions and the best way I immersed myself in the many cultures and ethnicities within the country was by the food. From Arab restaurants in Jaffa, to the gastro-experimental chefs in Dizengoff, to the traditional-Palestinian and Israeli market stands, every bite tells a new story.

This event, called Taste of Unity, would take place in early October of 2023 in one of Tel Aviv's central locations, Dizengoff Center. October marks late harvest season, as the country is home to farms of many crucial ingredients in multiple cuisines such as olives, grapes, pomegranates, oranges, and more.

This event would include Israeli, Palestinian, and Arab restaurant and chef stands, each presenting unique dishes. The ticket profits and tips from each stand would be pooled and divided equally, showing it food should not be something that distances and pits people against each other, rather unites them to continue telling their story, but this time, together.

On this page, you will find the self-curated brand identity for Taste of Unity which includes the following: event logo, color scheme and palette, icons, patterns, logo variations and applications, event posters, event promotional billboard, letterheads, and business cards. All the elements create a cohesive structure and identity that brings together divided groups of people over a shared loved for a place and the products of its rich harvests.
These are the festival promotional posters that would be strategically placed around major Israeli cities to gain event traction.
The document above includes my color inspiration and palette for the festival, in Festival names, HEX codes and Pantone names. I gathered inspiration for this color palette from many popular Middle Eastern dishes, Israeli sunsets, and an integral piece of Israeli culture, the spice and produce market.
These are the typefaces used throughout all festival material.
These four icons would be placed throughout other event materials.
These five patterns and texture represent the brand identity, themes, and colors.
Above are the event logos, including their font and color treatments.
These are a set of three, cohesive business cards distributed to vendors and participants interested in the festival.
Similar to the business cards, this letterhead would be customized for each festival employee for any press releases or written communication.
This is the billboard design for Taste of Unity, continuously incorporating one of the event photographs, fonts, colors, and design style.
