Project Statement:
The purpose of this project was to create a prototype for an app that educates people on the benefits of herbs in terms of health and beauty, as well as how to begin to grow herbs at home. It features illustrations done in Adobe Illustrator. A clean, floral, fun, and friendly aesthetic is utilized to emphasize the naturalness of herbs.. Visuals as well as color is used to evoke interest from viewers. Book Antiqua as well as Pauline Didone Variable are used to enforce hierarchy, emphasize the whimsical aesthetic as well as keep the viewers attention. Green was chosen to be featured heavily as it is commonly associated with nature and herbs. White and red were utilized to break up the information, add contrast, and further draw in the viewers attention.
